To apply for your place in the 2018-2019 term at the VR Innovation Academy in the UK, beginning 10th September, please apply here.
Graduation is a special time to celebrate achievements, and at EON Reality it means celebrating with classmates, colleagues – and friends.
The VRIA’s Class of 2018 in the UK recently celebrated their successful completion of both Phase 1 and 2 of their official EON Developer Certification.
The VR Innovation Academy plays a key role in the Manchester region filling the Creative, Digital and Technology sector skills demand. Graduation is always a huge milestone in anyone’s training, schooling or educational progress. To that end, graduating from the Virtual Reality Innovation Academy (VRIA) is a key part in future-proofing the learning journeys of UK University graduates and adult learners, looking to enter the augmented and virtual reality fields, or progress their ongoing journeys in VR, AR, MR, design, code and beyond.
The Academy team unofficially wrapped their final semester with a global presentation of their VR Health and Safety project, F.A.S.T (Fundamental Asbestos Safety Training), an innovative HTC Vive VR awareness app, featuring an intelligent assistant and built in the EON Engine. This application was launched across the company globally in a live broadcast.
The development and launch of F.A.S.T. were led by a Team of Training Co-Ordinators: Jack Young, Tyler Lewis and Adam Bladowski. Advisor and Subject Matter Expert (SME), Joe Cheben, who enjoys a strong reputation in the petrochemicals industry, consulted across all aspects of this innovative HSSE VR training application.
Adam said, “Thank you to the students for your high commitment and your professional approach to this project.”
The Training Team surprised their graduates with ‘F.A.S.T’ app merchandise upon graduation, celebrating all their design, production and overall development skills which have been garnered from learning at the UK’s EON Reality site over the last semester.
Marcin Kasica, Director of Global Education and Learning, said, “Congratulations to everyone. It has been a pleasure to support you, train you, help you, and it has been for the whole training team – to give you a path and to better understand this industry. I wish you the very best of luck in all that you do. A job well done. It has been great to see you progress – and thank you.”
The VRIA UK teams work together closely and foster a culture of community, fun and fearless creation. Marcin continued: “You are empowered as a part of the EON Reality community – no matter where you are, even if you just need space for ideas, you are always welcome back at the Academy.”
Mark Bridgeman, Global C.O.O. and UK MD, also congratulated the trainees. “You’re in the best place, in terms of this industry and the marketplace for AR and VR,” he said. “The skills that you’ve gained here have put you ahead of the rest.”
The Global Training Team, based in Manchester, also welcomed back EON Reality alumnus and previous Training Manager, Amalia Serban, for the graduation party and VRIA lunch for the Class of 2018.
Amalia said, “It has been a great experience working with you all. You’ve built great networks here with each other – don’t lose them, and keep in touch.”
