The EON Reality Tshwane IDC was given a platform to be part of The Africa Aerospace and Defence 2018 exhibition held at the Waterkloof Air Force Base in Centurion, City of Tshwane.
An increased demand for augmented and virtual reality to be featured in all industries in Africa has emerged, as thousands flocked to be immersed by the latest technologies to hit the market. The Aerospace and Defence Air Show brought together the largest gathering of industry players in Aerospace and Defence including manufactures and innovators, buyers of high-level international delegations, Defence Chiefs of Arms and senior procurement officers.
The Tshwane IDC ‘s stand was positioned at the Youth Development section of the expo, which forms an integral component of the AAD show. The AVR interactive demonstration occupied a 3 * 9m exhibition space showcasing the HTC Vive, Z-space, iCatcher and mobile VR and AR applications on EONS mobile platforms. The stand was visited by leading industry players as well as the public, of which the youth formed the majority. Visitors to the stand learned how virtual and augmented reality can be effectively deployed in manufacturing and training not only contributing to employee upskilling but also the business’ bottom line growth through increased efficiencies.
The AAD expo gave all exhibitors a wonderful opportunity to position their respective companies and value propositions directly into the defence industry. With Over 450 participating companies from over 30 countries being present multiple technologies and solutions were promoted and collaborations forged.
The Tshwane IDC derived great value from its presence at both the CAMSA stand as well as the Youth Development interactive zone. These opportunities founded are presently being followed up creating future collaborations, business opportunities and increased exposure to AVR technologies and solutions.
