IRVINE, CA, July 1, 2014 – EON Reality Inc., the world’s leading provider of Virtual Reality software, systems and applications, today announces the installation of a pair of EON Icube Mobiles at Central World, the world’s sixth largest shopping complex, in central Bangkok, Thailand. These Icube Mobiles are part of AIS’ “AIS Future Experience” located at their one stop service center in Central World. The AIS Future Experience is designed to show the possibilities of future communications using advanced immersive systems. See the AIS Future Experience video.

The “Future Cube” is a state-of-the-art simulation that gives users a glimpse of the future of telecommunications. It demonstrates AIS’ commitment to continue innovate and develop services not only for customer benefits but also for sparking inspiration in Thailand.

The AIS Future Cube are two Icube Mobiles installed side by side to simulate communication and interaction from two locations. Users can experience virtualized communications, enabling them to converse in a myriad of locations such as a Rooftop Café, Sky River or Sky Carousel. Guests can also memorialize their experiences with photos taken from within the simulation and share it in a virtual and interactive 3D model of Bangkok in the year 2100.

“This is the first time ever that two EON Icubes have been installed in a shopping mall and is yet another proof that immersive Virtual Reality is already widely accepted as a new ‘computing platform.’ It is also the first time ever that real-time 3D scanning and re-construction has been integrated into an EON Icube, and combined with the gesture based interaction enabled through the EON Reality software it has proven to be a hit with visitors,” said Pontus Appelqvist, VP Sales Asia-Pacific at EON Reality Pte Ltd.

“…AIS cooperated with Singtel and the international vendors including EON Reality, Human Media Lab and Base FX, introducing world first “Future Cube” innovation featuring “Immersive Experience” providing customers with rich, complete and most virtual telecoms experience like never before. With more than 60 million Baht investment, the Future Cube were developed and demonstrated at AIS Flagship Store, 4th floor of Central World,” said Mr. Somchai Lertsuitiwong, Chief Marketing Officers at AIS.
