National Education Ministry and EON Reality launch Lexyz to pilot the EON AVR Platform with 500 students

LAVAL, FR, March 21, 2017 – EON Reality Inc., the world leader in Virtual Reality based knowledge transfer for industry, education, and edutainment, announces partnership with the French State and the region Pays de la Loire. EON Reality has deployed the EON AVR Platform in schools for a field experimentation of Virtual and Augmented Reality in the French National Education System.

The first tests have started with 500 students, from 4th grade to 9th grade (CM1 to 3rd in French education system) in the city of Laval, Le Mans, and the region Pays de la Loire. Upon successful tests the next step is to begin a national rollout. The live test evaluates the use of VR and AR courses with Tablets and covers many subjects from the National Education Program, such as history, biology, science and more. The three key factors for the adoption of this technology are:

  • The training of the teachers
  • The design and layout of resources
  • The survey and analysis of the societal and educational impact of AVR

Student feedback is enthusiastic and shows the potential for a fundamental change in the way teachers interact with students. Expectations are high for this new learning tool:

The course went too fast for Josephine and her friend “It’s fun, books, we just read them, but this is alive”.

In the meanwhile, Paul moves its tablet from left to right and explores the virtual environment in AR in class :”Here there is a Stop sign, here there is a bicycle lane and there’s another sign here”, from there he proceeds to write down everything on his worksheet, during this important course about preventive road safety.
