EON Reality at Laval Virtual 2014 to Show EON Icube to Icube Collaborative Training Simulation

Multi-user Training, a Key Component for Accurately Simulating Tasks that Require More than One Person.

LAVAL, France, April 3, 2014 – EON Reality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, will have the first showing of a collaborative aircraft maintenance training simulation at Laval Virtual, in Laval, France. Two users will work together via their own EON Icube system, one from EON Reality’s UK office and one at Laval Virtual, on an aircraft maintenance operation.EON_Icube_Mobile_Collab_US_Laval_1000x750

Tasks that involve multiple people can now be accurately simulated, allowing for a maintenance task to be completed virtually as it would in the field. This collaborative approach to training is beneficial as each person not only knows their task, but also know how their job fits in the overall process.

“We are proud to show the immersive collaboration between two Icubes for the first time at Laval Virtual. Now each user will be able to stand next to each other within a shared virtual environment seeing a view of that environment that is customized to their preferred view and interest,” said Mats W. Johansson, CEO of EON Reality, Inc.

Laval Virtual is a leading exhibition in Europe focused on Virtual and Augmented reality. It is held annually in Laval, France with participants from around the world. This year EON Reality is one of its marquee exhibitors along with companies such as Microsoft, MIT, metaio, and more.

“We find being at our first Laval Virtual an exciting and fantastic opportunity and, with over 110 organizations participating this year in Laval Virtual, it underlies the importance of placing our Global Edutainment Hub in Laval. It’s also a great place to broadcast our global approach to making VR/AR a part of the everyday life experience,” stated Yann Froger, Managing Director, EON Reality SARL.

Later this year, EON Reality will break ground on EON Reality SARL, a French based subsidiary, in Laval, France. This new entity will serve an Edutainment Hub and produce Virtual Reality content for theme parks, science centers, museums, and the EonVision Idome.
