MEXICO CITY, Mexico, April 21th, 2016 – EON Reality Inc., the world leader in Virtual Reality based knowledge transfer for industry, education, and edutainment, announced an investment into the State of Mexico, together with a local partner, for an Interactive Digital Center (IDC) to produce Virtual and Augmented Reality content and train future AR and VR professionals. Dr Eruviel Ávila Villegas, Governor of the State of Mexico, made the announcement of the new IDC, EON Reality Mexico. While presenting EON Reality Mexico, Governor Eruviel Ávila, said he will engage EON Reality to generate applications for the State of Mexico, especially focusing on sectors such as safety and health.

Present at the announcement were Dr. Eruviel Ávila Villegas (Governor of the State of Mexico), Felix Fuentes Villalobos (Secretary of Economic Development), Cesar Monge (Health Secretary of State of Mexico), Eduardo Valiente (State Security Commissioner), Dan Lejerskar (Chairman of EON Reality), Yann Froger (Managing Director of EON Reality France), and Anna Lejerskar (VP of Business Development for EON Reality).

The EON Reality Mexico Center is primarily focused on bringing innovative Augmented and Virtual Reality to the State of Mexico. This is part of a larger plan by the Governor of Mexico to bring high tech companies to the State of Mexico and to nurture the industries of the future. The IDC will support higher education initiatives as well as help improve local education and training.

With the Augmented and Virtual Reality market set to increase exponentially, the need for content, especially localized and regional specific content, will increase rapidly. IDCs like EON Reality Mexico are crucial to meet this growing demand with content that is needed by people across the world and right next door. Applications like EON Experience AVR combined with local resources are one of many ways the IDC will tackle this.

“We are excited to bring our technology and VR knowledge to the State of Mexico,” said Dan Lejerskar, Chairman of EON Reality. “We believe that knowledge is a Human Right and over our seventeen years of business we have worked to bring knowledge via VR and AR to people around the world. This is a great platform to help bring applications like EON Experience AVR to Spanish speaking communities in North and Central America.”

EON Experience AVR is the next generation of gamified VR and AR based learning and is one of the ways that EON Reality will use VR and AR in the State of Mexico.

Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality have the capability to change the way humans fundamentally learn and experience the world around them. VR and AR knowledge transfer excel because it is built around showing rather than telling and helps overcome language barriers and illiteracy. It is useful as well for public health and public safety issues as VR and AR are able to emotionally connect with users in ways few mediums can.

“Our global family has gained a valuable member in EON Reality Mexico,” said Yann Froger, Managing Director of EON Reality SAS. “Virtual and Augmented Reality are impacting lives around the world and to be able to share this with more people is incredible. I see how VR and AR are helping people in Europe and I’m eager to help people in the State of Mexico the same way.”

EON Reality Mexico is scheduled to open around the middle of September and is currently taking applications for its EON Entrepreneur School.
