Bologna IDC Celebrates 200 years of US Embassy in Firenze

The US Embassy in Firenze (Florence), Italy, opened its doors for an incredible double-centenary celebration, and EON Reality Italia was asked to represent the high-technology presence in the region of Emilia-Romagna at the forum titled ‘United States of Bologna.’

Part of the ‘Insieme 200’ or ‘Together 200’ initiative, the event showcased and represented an impressive bilateral relationship which covers trade, culture, commerce, and education. Alongside local government figures from all of the main civil and political authorities of the City of Bologna, EON Reality was delighted to be invited to the event commemorating the first 200 years of the US Consulate in Italy.

To mark the occasion, the ‘United States of Bologna’ event served as a forum to explore the nature of the Bolognese-American human and professional relationships which flourish now — as well as how they will expand in the future.

Participating in the discussion, were:

Virginia Merola, Sindaco di Bologna
Benjamin Wohlauer, Console Generate degli Stati Uniti a Firenze
Beatrice Fraboni, Delegata del Rettore per le Relazioni con Europa e Nord America, Universita di Bologna

What an honor for us at EON Reality Italia to speak and participate in this fantastic celebration and panel event for Firenze’s 200 years of partnership with the United States.

Nicola Poleschi, Managing Director, EON Reality Italy

The team from EON Reality Italia was also able to present delegation from the National Artisans Confederation from the Province of Bologna, which is comprised of over 16,000 small and medium-sized businesses.

As part of the historic celebrations, the Consulate team displayed some of the 1961 letters from the well-known Mayor Giuseppe Dozza, as well as a slideshow of masters of their crafts like the inventor Cesare Barbieri and the geologist Giovanni Capellini.

For EON Reality, the Firenze (Florence) event marked a significant, important, and historic opportunity to promote its ongoing fruitful commercial AVR technology and education-based collaboration with the local North Italian government.
