The EON Icube Mobile was a big hit at the 2014 International Petroleum Technology Conference (Jan. 19-22nd) in Doha, Qatar. Both the Prime Minister and Energy Minister of Qatar started the show in the Qatar Petroleum booth experiencing EON Reality’s Icube Mobile. Over the course of the four day event, hundreds of people experienced EON Reality’s industry leading immersive Virtual Reality technology.

The Geologic Survey application, developed by EON Reality for RasGas (partnership between Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil), enables geologists to accurately analyze rock outcroppings without traveling to the field and preserves endangered geologic structures for future analysis. Qatar Petroleum also had on display an ultra high resolution 3D map of Qatar developed by EON Reality. This map was compiled from high detail satellite imagery and is primarily used for natural resource exploration or city planning purposes.
