On June 24, EON Reality and Mohawk College celebrated the inauguration of the first Interactive Digital Center (IDC) in Ontario, Canada. Located on Mohawk’s campus in the city of Hamilton, the IDC will make the leading college the center of the booming Augmented and Virtual Reality (EON-XR) industry in the area.

Attended by community and industry partners, the event held speakers from both sides of the partnership as they delved into how the IDC will impact students, teachers, businesses, and entrepreneurs in Ontario.

“We are always looking for new opportunities that benefit our partners and our students. This partnership is an excellent example of how we can all succeed through collaboration. Mohawk is the first college in Canada to offer this program with EON Reality. We are proud to be the first, but more importantly, we are excited by what this means for our students and the employers we serve. Students get hands-on training in one of the fastest growing technologies on the planet and receive a college certificate in Augmented and Virtual Reality. Employers get access to people with the skills they need to compete and succeed in this cutting-edge industry.”

In addition to teaching the Mohawk College students how to use and develop EON-XR products, the IDC will also offer EON-XR solutions to local businesses and create a networking hub for those interested in the technology.
