Irvine, California – November 16, 2011 – EON Reality, the world’s leading interactive 3D software provider, completed the installation of an EON Icatcher HD display, a large-size 3D projection system, at the Technology Park at Eastern Mediterranean University, North Cyprus, together with a 4-camera high-end tracking system and additional software licenses for interactive 3D application development.
Eastern Mediterranean University aims to deliver projects within industry and academy, especially targeting the construction, healthcare and manufacturing sectors. The virtual reality system is used not only by qualified technicians but also by MS/PhD researchers and final-year students who are developing interactive 3D application related to the construction industry. On top of research activities, the EON Icatcher HD is also used for teaching purpose.
EON Icatcher HD is a turn-key immersive display system that features a dual-engine full HD 3D projector, a 4.90m x 2.75m screen, a 3D sound system, a high-end workstation with Nvidia’s latest Quadro 6000 graphics card and EON Ultra advanced software for interactive 3D application development. Eastern Mediterranean University’s system was customized with a 4-camera VICON tracking system and interactive wand (controller).
