EON Ultra 2009™

Why use EON Ultra 2009™?
Today’s 3D visualization process is long, cumbersome and time consuming. It is an iterative process that is limited by the very long setup and rendering times required by traditional animation and CAD tools. EON Ultra 2009™ emphasizes real-time workflow during the creation of final content; it allows users to create photo realistic still images or videos, while extending the utility of the content by porting it into a 3D experiential viewing engine, capable of creating interactive simulations and presentations.

What is EON Ultra 2009?
Consisting of two software modules, EON Ultra FX™, and EON Ultra Composer™; EON Ultra 2009 is a tool for finalizing and visualizing 3D content and displaying it through various media. It provides real-time feedback on adjustment of lights, materials and shaders, by displaying the image constantly as it will appear in final frame. This in turn effectively eliminates the rendering times associated with the iterative process of fine tuning the image’s visual qualities. Content visualization work culminates in ultra-fast creation of both off-line and on-line content through the use of advanced rendering and presentation technologies.

By using drag and drop graphical user interface with the sliders, the user sets up the lights, adds textures, shaders, global illumination, ambient occlusion etc and is able to see the results instantly. Even very complex models above one million polygons can render above 20 Hz.

EON Ultra FX™
EON Ultra FX™ is the latest module built on top of EON Professional™ with stunning visual effects using a wide range of new CG shaders. Using technologies such as screen-space-ambient-occlusion (SSAO) and pre-computed-radiance-transfer (PRT) EON Ultra FX™ is capable of delivering real-time global-illumination (GI) visual effects that takes realism to a new level. Content created with EON Ultra Composer™ can be ported into EON Ultra FX for further visual development, while allowing the user to create highly interactive presentation of very experiential nature. This in turn allows for visual experimentation with different design alternatives, which effectively speed up the design and decision making process.

EON Ultra FX key features:

  • Real-time planar reflection on any plane object.
  • CGFX support for external CG shaders created by 3rd party tools - such as Mental-Mill™, etc.
  • Screen-space-ambient-occlusion (SSAO) and pre-computed-radiance-transfer (PRT) based global illumination (GI).
  • Improved image based lighting workflow for specular and diffuse environment map creation
  • Global –screen-space-multi-pass support for:  camera bloom, lens flare, depth of field and tone mapping.

EON Ultra Composer™
(Currently this product is only sold as a customized solution and not included in the EON Ultra 2009 product.)

Powered by Studio GPU’s 3D technology, EON Ultra composer™ is a lighting, camera and visual effects composer for animation and high resolution image rendering. It provides the user with an intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) to setup lights, add textures, and build shaders. The outstanding visual quality is achieved by employing sophisticated rendering techniques such as global illumination, and ambient occlusion. EON Ultra Composer augments existing 3D content creation tools by enabling visual-compute-results to be displayed on screen instantly, even on very complex models above one million polygons. Content created by EON Ultra Composer can be rendered for off-line use; such as still images or animation, or further ported to EON Ultra FX for interactive presentation and simulation.
