EON ICATCHER Mini Named 2008 Discreet Hardware Product of Year by AeA
Portable 3D virtual reality projection system recognized for its superior innovation, ease of use
IRVINE, Calif., May 5, 2008 — EON Reality, Inc., the world's leading interactive 3D software provider, announced that its EON ICATCHER Mini 3D virtual-reality portable projection system was named Discreet Hardware Product of the Year by the AeA Orange County/Inland Empire during the 15th Annual AeA High-Tech Innovation Awards on April 29.
"We are pleased and honored to be recognized for our innovations that truly allow users to experience more,” said Mats Johansson, president and chief executive officer, EON Reality. “Whether in the classroom or in the boardroom, EON ICATCHER Mini users are immersed in a digital environment where they become participants rather than mere observers.”
Built on EON Reality’s EON Studio and EON ICATCHER software, EON ICATCHER Mini enables users to easily integrate 3D presentations using their own CAD and 3D models in any conference room or smaller venue within minutes. The technology also integrates an EON 3D presentation into PowerPoint as easily as showing a regular movie file in PowerPoint.
“AeA was pleased with the high quality of nominations and the level of innovation was truly impressive,” said Don Hicks, executive director, AeA Orange County/Inland Empire. “AeA congratulates EON Reality and its employees for being selected Discreet Hardware Product of the Year.”
The 15th Annual AeA High-Tech Innovation Awards were presented at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Irvine. The awards recognized local companies, individuals and products in the technology field that drive innovation in Orange County and the Inland Empire.
