What is Icatcher 100?
Icatcher 100 consists of 100+ stereo optimized EON demos. It can also be used for non-stereo PC systems. The applications are stereo optimized for all resolutions above 1024x768. Note that some of the demo are larger than 50MB and will take longer time to download. However, once they are download they will stay in the browsers cashe and next time you run the demo it will load directly from your computer.
Do I need a license to run Icatcher 100?
To run the demos in stereo you will, as usual, need a Quadbuffer license (included in EON Icatcher license).
What display mode should I use?
When you select a display mode, the installation program will temporary change the necessary EON settings in the EON configuration setting. When you close the demo session, you will automatically revert to the settings you had before you started the demo.
Note: To be able to run the application in stereo it is necessary have a graphics card that support stereo. Make sure to enable stereo on the graphics card before running the application.
How do I run the Icatcher 100 application?
- Once the demo application is open, you will see a 3D logo of EON Reality in the middle. Click the logo to toggle rotation on/off and you will get a good stereo effect when the logo is popping out of the screen.
- Left click on EON Logo to toggle demo button interface on/off. Here you can select among all 100+ demos represented with thumbnails in 9 different categories.
- A majority of the demos feature some kind of interaction and all demos use the keys 1-9. A general instruction is to always try key 1 and see if there is any interaction. Some demos uses toggle function on some keys to change between different colors.
If the demo uses Object navigation, the Space key can be used to toggle rotation on/off.
- Toggle music on the intro page with M-key (M-key is also a generic key to toggle sound on/off on all demos with sound).
- Standard EON control uses Ctrl-Q to swap stereo eyes (Note: with the latest drivers from Nividia stereo sync normally works pretty well and eye swapping is not necessary).
- Ctrl-A keys toggle stereo optimization sliders on/off. All demos are already stereo optimized but in some cases when you move close to an object you might need to decrease the stereo effect a little. The stereo settings will not be saved unless you open the simulation in EON Studio, and save after you have changed the settings.
- Once you have left the Icatcher 100 intro page it is possible to return to the intro page with the ESC key (works only when the demo interface is visible).
